EMERGENCY
If you break an appliance, or have a problem with it, please contact us or telephone us on 0117 974 6550. We will see you as soon as we can (usually the same day) to relieve any pain, remove problem appliance parts and if possible repair the appliance. Failing this, having relieved your discomfort, we will make you another appointment as soon as possible. In the meantime though, if any parts of your brace feel sharp, place some of the wax we have given you over these parts to stop them rubbing.
To relieve discomfort in the first few days of wearing your appliance, your normal pain relief tablets should be taken.
Emergency situations in orthodontic treatment are very rare indeed. In the unlikely event of a genuine emergency occurring outside normal hours whilst under orthodontic treatment (and this does not include events such as having a loose bracket), please contact us on 0117 974 6550 where an answer machine will give you a number to ring.
