Everybody wants to be sure they are getting the best quality and value from any service they use and this includes Dentistry.

Quality itself is generally regarded as a degree of excellence but it takes a quality assurance programme to assess the specific, measurable degree of quality being provided. In Dentistry and Orthodontics, the quality assurance system is called Clinical Governance.

Under Clinical Governance, quality may be measured in terms of:

  • safety of patients and staff
  • consistency in standards of treatment and service
  • management
  • personnel development

All of our staff are involved in implementing and running our Quality Assurance programmes and these necessarily evolve with time - quality improvements are always possible and we continually chase moving targets. We consider quality improvements in the short, medium and long term planning of the practice development, including the implementation of new developments and team training.
