Tooth whitening
After a tooth whitening procedure, the teeth will always be whiter than they would
have otherwise been. It is normal however for our teeth to become more yellow
with age. Teeth may also be stained on the surface through food and drinks such as
tea, coffee, red wine and blackcurrant and smoking.
Obviously therefore, to maintain the whitening, it is sensible to minimise smoking
and the consumption of strongly coloured foods and drinks. Having said this,
though, it is easy to repeat the whitening procedure if and when necessary so this
is really a lifestyle decision for each patient to make for themselves.
