The 2008 Dentistry Awards will be held in The Athena Conferencing and Banqueting Suite in Leicester on 12th December. We have been short listed in 2 categories.

Private Dentistry Awards 2008

The 2008 Private Dentistry Awards will be held in London on 8th November. We are very proud to have short listed in 5 different categories

• Best Patient Care
• Best Specialist Referral Practice
• Best Marketing
• Best Dentist – Darren Hills
• Outstanding Individual of the Year – Sue Bird

Probe Awards 2008

We are pleased to announce that our receptionist Lynne won the ‘Receptionist of the Year’ for her ongoing commitment to her job.

Sue Bird our Business Manager was highly commended in the ‘Practice Manager of the Year’ category and the Practice Environment was also highly commended in its category. Both Darren Hills for ‘Dentist of the Year’ and Angela for ‘Dental Nurse of the Year’ were short listed.

Private Dentistry Awards 2007

We were extremely proud to receive the national award for Best Specialist Referral Practice in the Private Dentistry Awards 2007. We received our trophy during the award ceremony at the Café Royal in London on 9th November 2007. We were also short-listed in three individual categories, Best New Practice, Best Employer and Best Marketing, an achievement in itself.

In their citation, the judging panel concluded:

“The winner of this category was a truly outstanding entry, impressing all of the judges with its purpose conversion of a period building into state of the art facilities. From these stunning premises they provide a broad range of specialist care on referral.

A close-knit staff group has been created with a strong team-work ethic combined with easy patient access through web appointments and extended opening hours. The combination of good marketing, patient friendliness and support for referring practitioner ensure new sources of clients and the establishment of a strong brand.

The strength of support for this entry from the letters of reference was outstanding in both its depth and range. The examples of the practices' work as evidenced by before and after pictures demonstrated exemplary outcomes.

This is a practice that has clearly achieved the ideal of respect within their professional referrers and the satisfaction of the patients being treated”.

Dentistry Awards 2007

In a unique double, we were also voted the Best UK Dental Practice at the national Dentistry Awards 2007. These awards are open to the whole dental profession and using a number of exacting criteria, seek to determine all that is best in UK dentistry.

We were shortlisted in both Best Dental Practice and Best Dental Team categories and went on to win not only the South West regional award for Best Dental Practice but also the national award for the whole of the UK. We collected the awards at The Athena Conferencing and Banqueting Suite in Leicester on 7th December 2007 and partied well into the night.

Probe Dental Awards 2006

In 2006, we were finalists in three categories of these national awards:

• Darren – dentist of the year
• Sue – practice manager of the year
• Nicola – dental nurse of the year

Unfortunately, none of us went all the way to win this time, but we had a great weekend in London at the award ceremony.

British Dental Practice Manager’s Association Practice Manager of the Year

In 2004, Sue was awarded the British Dental Practice Managers Association’s prestigious accolade of Practice Manager of the Year. There will be few managers in the country with her ability, enthusiasm and commitment and we wouldn’t be where we are now without her.
